MMA!

Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is one of the fastest growing sports in the world. It mixes all of the other martial arts like Judo and Boxing together for a pure and amazing combat sport.
MMA I can’t believe there are actually people in the world who even think about marginalising and banning MMA. are you kidding me.
It’s a pure one on one sport that proves who was the tougher man that night.

I absolutely hate it when I hear people talking about the trouble fighters have to go through.  Really. Fighters choose to fight, they aren’t forced to fight. They know what they’re getting themselves into. it’s their choice, yet there are still people going on and on about the fighters being forced to fight. Come on guys it’s not ancient rome with gladiators. In MMA the fights are sanctioned. Fighters choose if they want to fight or not. If they choose to fight they have to go through medical examinations to see if they are healthy and fit enough to fight.

MMA can be a dangerous sport but tell me how many people have died in sanctioned fights? Z-E-R-O, zero. There is a much bigger risk of kids copying moves from watching the WWE or even Bruce lee kung fu movies. People consider MMA being much more dangerous than many other sports including fishing, cheerleading, football, nascar, motocross and rugby.

Banning MMA would be such a ridiculous idea. It basically mixes all the other combat sports like boxing, kickboxing, wrestling and jiu jitsu

They can't fool me

I Know What It Was

They said it was just
an owl in the tree
but they didn’t
fool me.

I saw teeth
not a beak,
red eyes
not gold,
and I won’t be told
it was only
fluff and feathers
round its throat;
it was a collar
and those weren’t wings
but silky folds
of a black,black cloak.

It was no
Too-wit, too woo
I heard
It was
I’ll get you-ou!

My Speech

MMA I can’t believe there are actually people in the world who even think about marginalising and banning MMA. are you kidding me.
It’s a pure one on one sport that proves who was the tougher man that night.

I absolutely hate it when I hear people talking about the trouble fighters have to go through.  Really. Fighters choose to fight, they aren’t forced to fight. Jobs, are they worth it?

Jobs, we all think differently about it. Some say they hate it, others appreciate it. Well this is my way of thinking about jobs.
Some people have jobs which have the privilege of working outside, others have the chance to work in a car or office. But here is my view on jobs.
I think every child my age(12/13 years old) should get a holiday job. Something that’s appropriate, like handing out pamphlets.
It’s good for you, I know from past experiences.

Working the long hours is worth it. Getting that papery cash or getting that instant credit to your account(if you’re an adult of course).

A holiday job is good to keep fit during the holidays. I state this because I know most boys and girls that are still in primary school or  have just started college stay at home being lazy. A job will at least get you out of bed early(‘er than usual) and will keep you active during the work hours.

This is why I firmly think kids aged 12-13 should get a holiday job.

The Truth Behind Chocolate!

A tricky subject for many is chocolate.
Like many others I firmly agree to the fact that chocolate is extremely unhealthy.

With all that saturated fat in chocolate, you wouldn’t know if you were eating chocolate or fat. To top that off, the amount of sugar and calories in an average bar/block of chocolate is extremely high, which could result (quite easily) with diabetes or even a stroke!

The amount of people that are obese in the world is very high and chocolate is definitely not helping this situation. Chocolate is very addicting, so people will only stop eating when they start to feel sick. This could cause you to become overweight and obese!

Chocolate has a very high concentration of Phenethylamine which is an organic compound which is well known for being a psychoactive drug and to have stimulant effects. That’s why when you eat chocolate you feel relaxed. But even with all these chemicals and and these fats people still say that chocolate is healthy. Do you know what I think about that. preposterous, absolutely preposterous!

That is the truth about chocolate! And those are the reasons why I firmly agree to the fact that chocolate is EXTREMELY UNHEALTHY!

Changing School Hours

The idea of altering the time of starting school for intermediate students should be changed, in fact made earlier is in my opinion, as an intermediate student absolutely preposterous!

If school began at 8:30, (for me this would be ten minutes earlier than my current start time) what could be gained from this? Ten minutes a day, would that make much difference in a child's academic achievement? while I realised that that compounded ten minutes would end up being 50 minutes across a school week, those 50 minutes would actually have to be divided into a full week. So again I ask you would ten minutes make a difference in a intermediate childs learning?

A lot of students in my school catch the bus. Some of them get here just in time for the bell to ring. If they don’t have a bus that leaves around 20 minutes before 8:30 the child will be late to school.
Do you want your child to get to school late?
If I had a child I know that him/her coming late to school would affect their learning.

School Rubbish

At schools we see a lot of rubbish, Most people just throw it onto the ground and forget about reusing, reducing, recycling and throw rubbish. Do you put it in the bin or do you just throw it anywhere you want to? children don’t help out either. They just throw their rubbish on the floor at school. I think from now on children should take home their rubbish

Imagine yourself living on Earth in about 50 years time.
The world is so polluted only the rich can afford to buy a home on a space shuttle that keeps them away from pollution. You aren’t rich so you have to live on the wasteland planet also known as Earth.
Do you want that do happen to Earth? I know I DEFINITELY don’t!
Have you watched the movie Wall-E? That’s what Earth will look like if we keep polluting our beloved Earth.

Cleaners go to schools often, but not often enough to eliminate rubbish. They have a tough job cleaning schools because we don’t care for our school environment!
When the cleaner comes from time to time there will be so much rubbish built up that the day after he cleans the school, it will be dirty again!
That is why I firmly agree that kids taken home their rubbish should be a rule in all schools throughout the world!
